The STAR Slimmer’s Club was started in January this year for those of us who came back to work feeling the excesses of Christmas and New Year, and wanted to do something about it. Each week we had a weigh-in and paid 50p - with the target of whoever lost the greatest percentage by the end of March, winning all the money. This has brought out some of our team's competitive spirit and the weight has dropped off… after 3 months we have lost a total of 28.6kg (Or 4.5 stone for those who understand that better!). The winner was our Procurement Officer Emily Taylor, who pockets £70. At STAR Procurement we are keen to support the health and wellbeing of all our team, and this is just one small part of it. Let the next round of competition begin!
