Market Engagement Pledge

STAR Procurement is committed to market engagement and will continue to research and understand what is available locally and within Greater Manchester (GM).

STAR Procurement will engage with the local and GM market through its ‘Go Local’ work stream, focussing on future contract opportunities.

STAR Procurement will encourage and enable its commissioners to deliver local opportunities and understand how the local market can reciprocate.

Are you interested in contracting with the STAR Councils?

We have developed an engagement plan for each of our three category areas of spend, which we update on a regular basis.

The category engagement plans are being delivered through targeted engagement events and training for businesses that will support future opportunities for each of our Partners.

Details of specific events and how to book on them will be posted on our website, and promoted through our Twitter account @STARProcurement

STAR Procurement also supports its Councils by hosting a joint Meet the Buyer event, roughly every 18 months. The last event was held virtually in November 2020.

If you want to know more about Local Investment, please contact the Category Manager at STAR Procurement that is responsible for your area of business. STAR Procurement has seven Category Managers and their contact information is available on the Contract Us page.
